With just a few more days before Christmas and with snow and minus degrees predicted I think I safely can say that the whole of Sweden will for the first time in many years have a white Christmas.
In Gävle we have had snow for nearly a week now with degrees down to -13 C. However I woke up this morning as the news on the radio told me that in Trelleborg, where my parents live and almost as south as you can get in Sweden, tanks were placed beside the ambulances ready to leave is an emergency happened. People were warned to go outside and definitve drive on the roads. Still the news showed cars on the roads, in trouble.
As the snow is still falling I guess my collegue might have a hard time to drive to work as she lives about 45 minutes drive from Gävle. I guess I should start preparing my mind that I'll be cancelling her patients first thing tomorrow morning. And that I'll be ploughing through the snow myself.
Now if I just could remember what I had booked in my calender myself ...

Snow is pretty, but can sure be treacherous. Be careful!
ReplyDeleteTake good care of yourself, my friend! We have had a light dusting of snow, but it has cleared away again. We have been warned there may be more though.
