For 20 long weeks I bought a cookbook every week that followed one of our “evening” newspapers. The series covered food from Italy (2 books), Sweden(2 books), USA, Southeast Asia, South America, France, Greece, Spain, Russia, Japan & Korea, China, Caribbean, Africa, Central east (?), baked, desserts and barbequed. Wonderful books with recipes on different difficult levels. The food on the pictures looked delicious. I have to admit some also had ingredients I have never heard off.
However being a chocoholic there was one recipe that really caught my eye and my taste buds. It was a cake with chocolate and chilli. Now I have had that as ice-cream and loved it so I was eager to try the recipe. It is just that I know myself very well and if a bake something I’ll eat it all in a day or two. Not good in other words. An occasion was there for needed and my birthday was the one. I had got everything for the cake when I called my brother. It turned out that they came the same day there for no chocolate and chilli cake. Still having the ingredients I decided that it was going to be made and that I would take it to work.
So…
Yesterday I made it!

Now I’m in the dilemma: shall I taste it before taking it to work or shall I hope that it’s edible?
I am positively drooling here! The cake looks delicious! You are so clever.
